Walden Co-presents Forum with Newsweek

Featuring distinguished panelists, the webcast of “Wireless and Well Prepared: The E-mergence of Technology in the Classroom” is now archived.

On Nov. 5, 2007,  Walden University co-presented an exclusive Newsweek Executive Forum, “Wireless and Well Prepared: The E-mergence of Technology in the Classroom,” at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

 

The webcast of the event is now available.

 

The forum examined the latest technology tools, their application and impact on various learning styles, and the role public and private partnerships play in the technological advancement of education.

 

The panel was moderated by Newsweek senior technology editor Steven Levy and included the following distinguished panelists:

  • U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.; member, Subcommittee on Science, Technology, and Innovation
  • Mary Cullinane, director, U.S. Partners in Learning, Microsoft Corp.
  • Dr. David Thornburg, director, Global Operations, The Thornburg Center; faculty member, The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership, Walden University
  • Walter Bender, president of Software and Content for the One Laptop per Child Foundation
