Former U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley gave the keynote address. February 2008
Walden University celebrated the graduation of more than 3,000 students at 1:30 p.m. Central time on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Adams Mark Hotel Dallas.

Speaker Richard W. Riley, former secretary of the U.S. Department of Education (1993–2001) and former governor of South Carolina (1979–1987) received an honorary degree and gave the keynote address.
